WELCOME TO WIB CMU

Women in Business is an undergraduate organization focused on empowering women in the workplace through raising awareness about gender equity and professional development. We serve to help young women in college navigate the professional field and develop personal connections throughout the community.

Organization Highlights

Education

WIB hosts a variety of educational workshops on business topics such as finance, gender equity in the professional world, marketing, and more. In addition, our experienced Executive Board members offer one-on-one mentorship for anyone looking to build their resume, write cover letters, or prepare for job/internship interviews.

Networking Opportunities

WIB provides students with many opportunities to network with professionals, faculty members, alumni, and fellow CMU students through various events such as panels, socials, and one-on-one coffee chats. We have resources and connections to many big companies and startups who are more than willing to help out our WIB members.

Family

We are a supportive, caring, and fun family that is always here for one another. We believe that everyone has something to offer and that our WIB community is the perfect place for women to empower each other through their endeavors.

Events

In the past, we have held various activities with external companies, hosted guest speaker events, student intern panels, and more. We hope to bring new and exciting events both remotely and on campus every year.

Spring Conference

Spring 2023 Conference date: February 25, 2023

Our annual conference consists of panels discussing career opportunities and transitioning into the workforce. You’ll also engage in presentations about gender equity and professional development, lunch, and tons of networking opportunities with employers, fellow students, and other successful businesswomen.
